Not bad for $200 and no tripod huh?

I have a 7600 as well and my pics suck...details please on how you took these?? everytime I take the flash off...the stupid blinking hand goes and says all my pics are blurry! Erin

thanks guys, this camera doesnt really have any camera stabilization so camera shake is almost always the reason behind any blurry pictures i take.

As far as settings go, all i do is set it to AUTO, turn macro mode on, set custom white balance by shooting at the sand and then zoom in as much as i can before the green macro flower turns from white to green. When its green , it is supposed to be at acceptable zoom. Point and shoot.

you can also use the SCENE macro mode but i have had more luck with AUTO

Thanks Clint, by the way the frags are doing great, i really love that yellow tort and the idaho grape!

Erin if you have any more questions just let me know, i'd be more then happy to help you out, so far i am really happy with this camera. The last thing i needed was another expensive hobby so i kinda looked at the "no lense threads" as a blessing. This camera takes all of the guess work out of it and produces some pretty good shots. Good enough for me for now. The only complaint i have about it is that it doesnt seem to take pictures very well when in low lighting situations. But for me the great macro abilities outweight that.

Erin: i just realized that i made a typo.
It should have read :zoom in as much as i can before the green macro flower turns from GREEN TO WHITE (not from white to green) . When its green , it is supposed to be at acceptable zoom.
