OK ... first off hello! I've scanned the site from time to time, but never actually posted.
so here goes!
I have a 29 gallon tank recently converted to reef. Approx. 60lbs. of Live Rock, 3.5" - 4" sand bed. 2 x 65watt Orbit PC setup. 1 Perc. Clown and 1 Royal Gramma. Snails, Crabs and a few corals ... Candy Cane, Zoo's, Shrooms, GSP. and for in-tank flow I have 2 MaxiJet 900's.
My question is ... this was a fish only tank recently converted to reef. When I did that I removed the hood I had which was the Eclipse filtration/lighting system. after putting on my new lights I went with a HOB style filter that is now driving me crazy with Micro Bubbles.
I want to know .... with my current setup would it be wise to remove the HOB filter and go filterless all together? There is a possibilty I could run a HOB Refugium and/or a skimmer, but it has to be minimal cost!
Thanks,
JeRmZ
