If you're having problems with tank glare just hold your camera at a slight angle to avoid getting the exposure glare in the lens view. DEFINITELY get a tri-pod if you don't have one already. This will help with blurry images and allow you to play around with the angle that reduces the glare for you. Also, I know a lot of people who don't even use their exposure. Try taking a few shots with no exposure, if your tank is lit well enough you shouldn't even need it. Your first shot isn't bad towards the bottom of the photo. The reason the top part is blurry is due to your aperture setting. Adjusting this will bring the rest of the subject into focus and take away some blurring as well. Just a few things to consider. Taking care of a saltwater tank parameters is about as challenging as taking good photos; lost of practice, good knowledge and research, and patience :)

Don't hold the camera at an angel as the glass will distort the image. Always shoot straight on. Try turning off the lights in the room to minimize any light on the glass.

I don't even know how you can take a picture without exposure, can you explain this? Do you mean not using the flash?

The first picture isn't bad. The exposure is good but the depth of field could be a little better. The second picture is blurry, not much you can do to save that one. The third picture is ok but it has a blue color cast which makes the water look cloudy. Do you have photoshop?

All~n~All not bad for your 1st time..... Just keep trying new things with your camera...You'll get the hang of it.....
