Looks like you're off to a good start. How will you clean the sides of your tank with all that rock leaning on the glass? Suggest you move your rock far enough away from the sides to fit a Mag Float algae magnet. This also provides better flow around the rock which is important for the bacterial growth. I like the caves and overhangs you have built; keep that open look. If this is a fowlr tank you should have enough rock. If you intend to keep a reef tank, I think you could use more rock. 1 to 1/2 lb. per gallon is the recommended level for reefs. Lookin' good so far...be sure to do lots of reading before you start to add livestock. Keep those pictures coming!

[welcome]

i can rit my hand and rassor on all sides of the glass the pump is a magdrive 7 and i have an AC jr with a ph probe and a dc8 with a otupus skimmer. i plan on more maxi jets and i won't add corals till about 2 weeks i have about 10 hermits and 3 or 4 snails. i want to do zoas and some leathers. i have about 62 pounds of live rock already in there

i never have dealt with that fixture, and looking @ catilina's site and there solar t5 fixture line it looks like you may be able to keep LPS, but im iffy on sps. if its comparable to say a current usa nova extreme pro, then yea sps may be able to be kept but only near the surface of the water line.

also re-posting your tank build in another section like general discussion may get you more responses.

You don't need to buy the live stuff, or the high quality live rock... You could go with less expensive options such as base rock, or dry tufa rock.

sorry for posting the pics late! i got the 2 parts solution 2 gallon kit and used up all of my mag so i just ordered some more mag but it's the seachem reef advantage kind instead (herd it was easier to mix and time is money) i also orderd a maxi-jet 1200
