Side note, brown algae appears to be a little hairy? It appears to be slightly filamentous as its still small but blowing in the current. Only on the rocks does it appear this way.

The algae on my overflow box appears to be flat, but this could be cuz it's black and just harder to see.

sounds about right, brown algae can sometimes get a bit filamentous, I wouldn't worry about it. You're tank is just going through the uglies

First update for a long time here. But i've bought a few (9) frags. Every time I go in looking to get just a couple my wife wants more so here we are.

So far I have (in order of purchase): Birdsnest, Frogspawn, sympodium, duncan, acro, stylo, kenya tree, blasto, and an Acan.

The Duncan and Blasto are family favorites so far. The acro is my challenge and I've always loved the way birdsnests look.
