First tank leak test worries...

So I recently bought a new 40Br and today was the leak test. I left to go to dinner and came back to see no leaks. But what I did see worries me.. but maybe I am over reacting?

I know tanks get these little bubbles but should this worry me??

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question?

The thing next to the tank is a corner stand for plants... is that what you mean?

if the bubble goes almost all the way through you may just want to take the tank back to wherever you got it and explain that you don't want a leak.. should be ok, unless you've painted it and/or drilled it.

I see a big distortion with 2 sticks upper mid section.
MB you mean the bubbles in the seam of the calk?

I did paint the back of the tank, but if I needed I can get it off. It would suck but not worse than losing a reef!

The very middle of the tank.. that's the flash I was trying to block. The rest in general is as far as it goes. If I were to guess.. the bubbles reach about a little less than halfway through the seam.

Since the company's probably going to have to send it back as a defect, if you painted the back, and it's fresh, it might come off fairly easy w/ a razor blade.... not sure, never tried it.

You're better off with the small pain of getting rid of the paint now than the large pain of losing an entire reef system and a good part of your living room when that big bubble becomes a big break.

i had the same thing happen to mine but i waited and sure enough 6 months later i woke up with 10 gallons of water on the floor. my background was painted and they took it back and gave me a new one on the spot. i highly recommend returning it asap. they shouldnt care about the back..... they are sending it back to whoever made it anyway

Well as much as I was hoping not to, I am going to PetCo within the next few days to get a new one. ARGH this sucks.. the nearest PetCo is 76 Miles away

If they give me poop about the back being painted I will razor it right there and then!
