First time fragging, please help.

I'd like to cut off the part that is hanging out and attach it to another rock to grow on. What's the best way to do this?

As far as I understand you can just take an exacto knife and cut the little spot thats holding the outcropping to the main colony. Then you just need some glue (Ive used sps glue that seems to be a thicker version of crazy glue) and glue the underside to a rock. When you put the rock back in the tank that type of glue cures when it comes in contact with water. But I could of course be wrong, I have never personally fragged that type of coral :)

From what I understand , use a razor blade and cut unwanted piece off stick in the sand so freshly cut piece can heal {around 1 week } then attach to rock using super glue gel .
hopefully more will chime in
Thanks

I've seen people use wire cutters, they work the best because they keep minimal contact with the coral and they create a clean seperation with few jagged edges. Just like on humans, jagged edges is a larger surface area for infection and more likely to form scar tissue.
