Well the title says it im a noob when it comes to photography always wanted a good camera that took good pictures. Tired of using are point and shoot camera. Plan to use the camera for hiking trips, when visiting relatives, any outdoor activity pretty much, plus taking pictures of my tank obviously=]. Looking to spend 500-600 on the camera. Than adding on later or if I can find a bundle deal might go that route.

Things I would like easy to use being number one and not the best but good photo quality im good with tech stuff if that helps any.

I was looking at these but im not a camera expert and would like to buy a good one the first time. Won't be buying anything for another month or so just bought a few toys for my tank but would like to do some research a head of time.

I have the t2i and love it. Beside $100, the only real difference between the t2i and the t3i is that the t3i shoots video in HD and has a 180 degree tilt lcd screen. For a lens I use a Tamron 28-75mm lens with the low end at f/2.8. It's a great everyday lens.

Thanks for your input just saw beerguys stickys probably should have read that first lol. Cleared up alot of questions. He takes great photos to only if mine could turn out half as good I'd be happy.
