First Time Sump

Hi,
I am setting up a sump for the first time. I am using a 30 gallon tank 36Lx16Hx12W. Can you please tell me if this looks ok?

The dimensions in the sump are: 10” Intake/ 15” Refugium/ 7” return. The baffles will be 1" apart

With the exception of the filter sock, it looks fine to me. A refugium needs some waste to get to it, the filter sock is gonna minimize that. The skimmer wont be getting all the overflow of the tank, so that isnt likely to steal away enough to be a problem. Loose the sock and add it later if you still feel the need.

That's cool ... I'm doing the same thing right now. I've got the same tank as you, but I'm curious to know if you have a pre-built AGA stand, or if you have a custom stand? The problem I'm having is that the space in the stand is quite limiting... is that the case for you?

Which way am I to understand your tank... using a 30g for the sump, or you're adding a sump to a 30g main tank??

I setting up a 30g sump for 125g tank I am setting up. I am not sure what kind of stand it is because I brought the setup off of someone, but I am not having a problem with space. I wish you well on your setup.
