First Timer Anemone

Hello All,

I intend to buy a LTA which has velvet color.Please suggest is this anemone good for a first timer in terms of taking care and compatibility to other fishes.
I have a 5 ft tank and my tank is six months old with all my water paras reading perfect.Yes I still do have brown coralline algae on my sand bed which I still feel is due to my tank is not matured.

i go with a BTA. from what ive heard they are an easier anemone

Velvet color? Velvet is a type of cloth, not a color. I'm with WM, go with a BTA as a first time anemone, and only then after you have done hours of reading on the topic.

Yea go with the BTA. I dont think there's anything as "Brown Coraline" on sandbeds. I think those are diatoms.

Yes you are right,typed it wronf in excitment.Its Violet anemone and its diatoms on the DSB.Any idea how can I know more about this anemone.

A BTA is a good start, but don't jump the gun and put a clownfish in it the same day hoping you get instant nature, it just doesn't happen, but do one thing at a time.
