Fish Aggression

I have a 40b that I have a pair of high fin gobys, cherub pygmy angel and a 6 line wrasse. The gobys were the first fish, then I added the pygmy angel. The 6 line wrasse was in an older tank I have since taken down. I added him last because he showed some aggression to an engineering goby I had with him. It has only been a few days and everything seemed ok but today I noticed some bite marks on the sides of the pygmy angel. I have only seen some displays from the pygmy and 6 line and it actually looks like the pygmy is starting it but the 6 line is winning out. The 6 line has also nipped at the high fin gobys but does not seem to actively chase them. Will this continue with the pygmy or should I take out the 6 line?

The only thing is it looks like the pygmy angel is the initiating the conflicts. He swims close to the wrasse flaring his sides at him. I would rather have the pygmy than the six line but i really like both fish.

With fish you can't really narrow it down to who is starting it and who isn't. It doesn't really matter. Fish are generally either aggressive or they aren't and as mentioned earlier, six lines have a tendency to be mean little guys. If your not going to remove one of them, the only thing you can do is wait it out and hope they find their own territory and stay out of each others way.

I will probably take the six line out and see if I can get some credit at my LFS. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this one way or the other.

Cherub angels are also commonly very aggressive, so that's entirely possible. You basically have two fish that can be terrors to other small fishes together in a small tank.

Just wait until the Cherub settles in. He will take care of the problem!
They are a very aggressive fish, even for an Angelfish..

I would wait it out, Those Cherubs can get very aggresive, I had one that use to go after a 5" powder blue tang I had.
