Fish and parasites

So my fish definitely have "something" but I'm pretty sure it isn't ich. There are no physical markings to any of the fish for me to think it is ich but I have seen a couple of them "flashing" (hitting/rubbing their body against the rocks or the sand).

At least 2 if not 3-4 of my 9 fish in the DT have something. There is a frag tank connected to the setup with ; fish but they don't show any signs.

This has been happening for about 2 weeks. All of the fish are eating well and swimming around like normal.

QUESTION: can the fish fight the parasites with their own immune system, AND WIN?

Reason for question: I work a lot and I'm not sure when I will be able to catch all of the fish (mostly wrasses) and I would rather not use medication if it is not needed.

Thanks for any help provided!

When this happens to my fish I do one drop of Kents Garlic extract per 10 gals of total water in my system. It does work even though many will disagree with me and they also will say it's bad for their kidneys, which has been proven true if used on a continuous basis. I only do this when I see even one flashing and it's usually stopped shortly after. Again This is what I do for my fish. It might happen once every few months or it could happen 4 times in one month.

I am experiencing the same issue as the OP..

my royal gramma is rubbing alot on the sand.. but i dont see anything spots or anything hanging off its gills or cloudy eye and hes eating normally..

i will soak their food in garlic and selcon and release into the tank today to see if that does anything.

Here is what I do, I only use the Kent garlic liquid and I dose one drop per 10 gals of water and if they're really bad flashing like several fish I will also add two drops to the water I'm defrosting frozen food in. So you can see you don't need much of the Kent product. I also don't use it everyday. If I see one fish flashing I dose the 1 drop per 10 gals of total water volume in the DT for instance I've got a 40b and a 20 gal sump but only have about 50 gals of total water volume at most. So I do 5 maybe 6 drops only once and then watch the fish. I've very rarely had to dose it more than two days in a row. For me it works, and I don't dispute the warnings of prolonged use so this is why I use it sparingly.
