Fish Blindness

What is the best way to diagnose fish blindness? Is there particular behavior that a blind fish will exhibit?

I have an old maroon clown that's going blind right now. The most noticeable behavioral difference is problems targeting food. They smell the food and get excited, but have problems locating it. If you move the fish to a new container, it may bump into the walls until it learns where they are. The biggest problem with caring for a blind fish is providing enough nutrition.

Blindness is often caused by infections. I'd make sure the water is a clean as possible and feed well. Maybe try some of the medicated foods just in case there is an infection of some kind.
