I bought 3 fish of Friday from my LFS. A pair of ocellaris clownfish and a yellow tang. Fish all look good at the store and even ate when fed. Got them home and floated the bag for 30 mins. then dropped them in the first tank. All was good at first and for that night. Started noticing 1 of the clowns was breathing heavy on Saturday. Fed the tank and all the fish ate. Sunday again the 1 fish was breathing heavy and was at the bottom of the tank. I checked ammonia and it was 0. Did the transfer and added Prazipro. the clown is still not swimming around and breathing heavy at the bottom. the yellow tang is during great and the other clown is fine also. any ideas on what i should do?

Oxygenate!!!!
Marine fish take a fierce amount of oxygen. Get a bubbler going, get them in new water, and if you can't do anything else, stir up some water change water with a power mixer or bar mixer or just beat the daylights out of it and see if you can get some air to those fish.

It IS possible that you have gill issues, such as ich going, but understand that meds of any sort, also uneaten food, reduce the oxygenation of the water: so does temperature elevation; so does too many fish; and the biggest likelihood is that your system is not giving them enough aeration.

i do have an air stone in the tank. also the top is completely open. I don't have a hood on the tank. I will try what you said today when i get home from work. Hope its not to late.

when i got home yesterday i put another air stone and pump on the tank. with in about 30 mins. he was being more active. later that night i went into the garage and turned on the lights and he was back on the bottom again. at that time i noticed on the other clown that he had what looked like a white beard. he was not swimming right either. woke up in the morning and the one with the beard was dead. the other clown was swimming around alot better then the day before. only thing was he was swimming with his head up like his tail was weighted down. not vertical more like 45 degrees. anybody know why that is? Also the yellow tang is still perfect.
