Fish Breeder and Reef Stew...I got a tour!

Reef, Crustacean, Puffers
I recently had a great opportunity to visit with Bob Bittner who most of you know as reefstew here on RC. He is a fish breeder and creator of Reef Stew. He ships his clowns all over the country for LFS and public aquariums. His place was stinking awesome.

My original two A. Ocellaris (clownfish) were from his stock and my new little black that replaced my sad jumping female is also one of his.

I also use his product Reef Stew, which we lucky folk in Arizona can buy locally fresh, to feed my fish and corals and to dose my tank. So, because I've had his stuff, this was a lot of fun for me.

He had day old H. erectus (seahorses) and clowns of every size and of course his breeding pairs. He did all the plumbing, drilling, electrical, etc. all himself.

Anyway, the video is longer than I usually post but it was a lot of fun for me so I thought I would share. http://youtu.be/1jIyG8E5lvY

Just in case any of your were wondering...this video is NOT AN AD! I did it because I was lucky to get the invite from him but I didn't get anything money or product for doing it!

My wife caught me watching that video and was like "Hell no, don't even think about it!".

Thanks for posting it.

That's funny! When I was at his house his wife was there and she showed me in their fridge all the fish related stuff he was keeping in there and she shared how it sort of grew into what it is. So...your wife was right to tell you that! ;)

Speaking of fridges she told me that now would be good time to start looking for a mini fridge. She was semi-okay with the small containers of thawed frozen food but the recent addition of live BBS was the deal breaker. :lmao:

The funny thing is Chad only seen the fridge in the kitchen. All that stuff was for daily use. I have a mini under the counter freezer in the laundry room with 100% fish stuff & when I purchase a lot of frozen food I sometimes sneak some in the kitchen fridge when the smaller one is full.
