Fish breeding question?

So I've learned from my studies that there are basically two ways that fish can have fry either by livebearing or egg laying.

I know for certain that there are freshwater fish that are livebearers and egg layers, but what I don't know is if there are any saltwater fish that are livebearers or are they all just egg layers.

Banggai cardinalfishes aren't exactly livebearing in the normal sense, but they are mouthbrooders, and the male spits out fully-formed juveniles. Some sharks are viviparous, I think.

There aren't many live bearing saltwater fish. I do know that some sharks are livebearers, but i'm not sure of many fish that are if any

Your understanding of fish breeding is freshwater. Many SW fish are different and don't neatly fall into those two categories. Many SW fish have a larval stage.

Bertoni is right, there are alot of sharks that have live "pups"
