Hi All,

Currently upgrading to a 180g (6' x 2' x 2') from a 75g and my current livestock/equipment list is:

- 2 False Percs with Purple Sebae Host
- 1 Hippo Tang 3"-3.5"
- 1 Yellow watchman.
- a few LPS and softies
- 100-125 lbs of live rock (will be adding another ~80lbs)
- 55g Sump/Refugium w/ 20 lbs live rock
- Octo 200 Extreme Skimmer
- 4 Koralia 4's
- Mag 24 Return

I plan on creating a LPS/Softy dominated community reef. Aquascape will be 2 or 3 pillars with plenty of swimmng space.

Would the addition of the below fish:

1) be compatible with each other as well as my current livestock

and

2) be to much bioload?

Would like to add

- Flame Angel or Coral Beuty
- Royal Gramma or Blackcap Basslet
- Purple Tang or
- Kole Tang or Chevron Tang or Powder Brown Tang
- 3-4 Cleaner Shrimp
- 2-3 Fire Shrimp

Please feel free to modify (add/subtract) from the list.

All opinions are appreciated.

Thank you

Andrew

You may have some issues with the Flame Angel and more so with the Coral Beauty nipping at corals, I had one years ago that was fine, but I know some people who report problems with them (I think they are great looking fish). I have read where several people report problems with Coral Beauties, but I have never had one.

From the little that I know.. Fire shrimp are very reclusive and reef safe. So you shouldn't have any problems with them. They just like to hide out.

And purple tangs like to eat large stony corals.. lol Also when they get older they tend to be aggressive to new additions to the tank..

The only thing that i see is you already have a Hippo tang, and you will probably not want to add a Powder Brown in with that as they have the same body shape. Chevrons are extremely prone to disease, so i'd have to say Kole Tang is your best bet. I've personally never hear about Purple Tang eating LPS, but it may be true, although they do get pretty agressive. I've also heard a lot about Dwarf Angels picking at LPS and Clams, but i've had a False Lemonpeel in my tank for about 2 weeks and have had no issues. I have TONS of LPS frags and they are all fine, and plan on adding a handful of clams but i'm kind of nervous about it. Other than that, you should be good with all your other choices
