Fish & Corals - Compatability

That's an extremely broad question.
Information on which reef safe fishes can be found by asking here in this section.
But in my opinion, as far as which corals can be housed or near other corals; First I would suggest going to the specific "LPS" (the "blob" looking type corals) forum section here on reef central. And there you can pose the question of which lps corals can be near other lps in a tank, etc.
And do the same in the "Softy" (Mushrooms, zoas, etc.) forum section, and in the "SPS" section (the colored sticks).
This way you can investigate same-same type of corals together in a tank vs. the corals of different types mentioned above together in a tank.
Then you'll have a better handle on things i think and you can continue to ask the non-fish questions on those specific sections.

I have a mixed reef that I moved to a larger tank not long ago. Leather, hammer, frogspawn, bubble, scolymia, micromussa, acropora, pectinia, montipora, favites, galaxia, anemone, ricordia, few different polyps and zoas... ( apologize if spelling is off)
Some are doing fine, some I noticed burning their neighbors, which i moved, and a couple which seem to have not quite settled in.
I was looking for a website, book, link or such that would give me a better idea of which corals make for good neighbors and which ones dont like to even be close. Some sort of generalized guide, if anyone knows of one, that might help me make better placement decisions.

I got a lot of suggestions to read Eric Borneman's book "Corals". That one book in particular has answered (and continues to answer) alot of questions for me.

Here are a few general observations for coral compatability -- your mileage may vary:
1) The more similar two corals are the more compatible they are. Corals of the same genus will typically get along pretty well.
2) No coral should touch another coral unless they came from the same colony -- "touching" includes what happens at night when feeder tentacles are extended. Some LPS must be given +6" of space in every direction because of night time tentacle extension.
3) Leathers can engage in some nasty unseen chemical warfare. Running fresh carbon helps combat aleopathy. (I change my carbon every two weeks)
4) Some corals take much longer than others to settle in to new surroundings (esp. leathers, zoanthids).
