fish delivery today....acclimation concerns

I have an order coming from LiveAquaria this morning and I want to make sure I prevent any kind of ph or ammonia spikes while acclimating the new arrivals.

Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated to help with a smooth transition.

I know on their site you can find out what SG they keep their tanks at & make sure that's where your QT is at to lower the stress. I always float for 15 to 20 minutes in the closed bag to match temperature first.

I'd check SG as soon as you open the bag & do a quick drip acclimation or add water to the bag & keep it around 30 minutes. There are good acclimation stickies in the new to the hobby section that can go into better details.

When I say a quick drip acclimation, I mean time not as in an overly fast drip

As Michelle says, match the SG of your qt to the bag, and then I would follow LA's instructions on drip acclimation.
