Well in the QT yes, a good powerhead pointing to top and the HOB filter dropping water. Is that enough? My mistake was to do another dip in a small jar with no aeration of-course and on top of that, I wanted to make sure none of that water goes into the DT so I emptied all the water leaving the fish without it for a few seconds. But by then the fish was already starting to collapse. After I put the fish in DT, it sank to the bottom for a few seconds and then recovered and was swimming upright in place for a few mins before other fish were getting curious. After that it went to a hiding place and next day I found it dead. I proably wont get another Flame unless I gain many years of experience in keeping fish alive :angryfire:

You shouldn't put a labored fish into your DT if you have a QT up and running.
By the time they are ready to go into the DT you should have already treated with prazi in the QT.

The fish was doing fine in QT. I had decided to do a final dip in PP before moving to DT. That's where it went downhill in the jar.

IME I have found that lack of aeration is why most fish don't survive dips whether it be FW, formalin or Prazi.
