Fish eating nem and new clowns.

Ive lost several fishes to maxi-minis. But I guess thats the downside to being in love with maxi-minis. LOL!

Ive lost 2 picasso/premium or whatever theyre called, clowns, 1 wetmorella wrasse, 2 different kind of gobies. I thought the fish were smart enough to smell danger, but I guess I was wrong. LOL! It sucks when it comes to the clowns because they were pricey, and the wrasse was my favourite fish.

Now I have 3 BTA, and 7 maxi mini in a 24 gallon cube with new fish. 1 ocellaris clown, 1 tailspot blenny and 2 eviota gobies. They have all managed to stay away from the maxi minis. Kinda weird actually.

I also have a 10 gallon tank with 9 maxi mini. No fish, only a pistol shrimp and a sexy shrimp. I dont wanna risk putting fish in there. It could vanish real fast. LOL!

Anyway, ive had more maxi-minis, but ive lost some of them too because of they walked straight into the pumps.

Its not an easy hobby :hmm5:

There is an upside. I'm actually beginning to REALLY love fishless tanks. I have zero bad algae and still plenty of movement from my corals. Very little detritus...it's actually okay :)

I appreciate others who have lost fish to maxi's posting about it. I get a little frustrated at times when people keep telling me that maxi's don't eat fish and maybe they
re just "lost under a rock". I'll try explaining that to my maxi's next time they are devouring one lol.

Thanks :)

I really appreciate this thread. We came VERY close to purchasing a maxi-mini, but I decided it would be best to do some research first. (Apparently I am learning something in this hobby!). There seem to be lots of people that have lost fish to their nems. Thanks again guys!
