fish for 75g

tangs kinda get big. i have a yellow tang in my 72 gallon bowfront and i think im gonna have to find him a new home. no room to swim free like he should.
 
I think you're better off only keeping one tang in a 75, and probably not a purple. Yellow would be a better choice in my opinion, or a scopas.

You're going to get different responses depending on who you ask, ranging from two naso's to absolutely no tang at all.
 
my yellow tang seems happy enough, but at the same time, i feel sorry for him. i say if you dont put a lot of LR in there, he should be fine. but if you have a lot, he needs more room to swim.
 
It has probably 100 lbs of rock in there. I already have the powder brown in there. He is one of the smaller ones I have seen. I guess I will just go with the one tang for now. If I feel he starts to outgrow the tank, I will just have to give him away (read: get a bigger tank).
