Fish for a 240g

I'm still trying to decide on fish for my 240 gallon. It's going to be sps only with lots of flow, tanks is 8 feet by 2 feet by two feet.

I know I want a sailfin tang. If I get a sailfin would I be able to keep a naso tang as well since the tank is really large?

Third fish I want is a lionfish.

My lfs told me there are about 4 common species of trigers that are reef safe? is this true? Which are best to get? Can I keep multiple?

How many fish should I go for total. Skimmer is rated at about 500g and will have ozone.

In my view, you gotta consider the bioload that the two giant tangs are going to eventually produce (and by bioload I really mean tons of poop).

So you need to think about if you'll be able to handle that much crap in the water.

I'm not getting another giant tang (we've got the exact same tank) but I was considering a school of the anthias that stay smaller (like Barlett's) or maybe a powder brown. I can't decide.

I have a 240 also [FOWLER] I have a Hippo Tang, White face Tang, Blueface Angel, Raccoon Butterfly, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 2 Argi Angels, an Iridis Wrasse and a Candy Hogfish.. biggest one is the Blueface at between 4-5 inches..I worry about the bioload as my fish grow. If I did it over, I would have left out either the Hippo or Blueface [probably the Hippo;) ] and kept only one fish that would reach over a foot. And I wish I had gotten a school of Anthias

So to answer your question;) I would probably chose one or the other. I think a Sailfin may be a better choice

Bluethroat Triggers are supposed to be reef safe and you can keep a male/ female pair

Have fun stocking your tank!!

Okay, so this is what I was thinking.

a sailfin tang
a volitan lionfish
a bluethroat or similar trigger
lunar wrass?

Sounds good however I wonder if the Lunar Wrasse would be too obnoxious for the Lion:confused:
I don't have any first hand experience with these Wrasses but I know they tend to be aggressive....Hopefully someone that has one will chime in;)

With a good skimmer, decent fuge and good upkeep on your water changes i don't see nothing wrong with your list... Alot of people way understock their tanks.. Two tangs a lionfish and one trigger i don't see anything wrong with 4 big fish in a 240. Only fish i would consider swaping out is the naso they could use a little bigger tank.

I can wait on the naso tang, going to be setting up a 360 gallon tank soon after the 240, would the naso be fine in the 360?

8 foot is decent length more width would be awsome then the 240 u have.. I've seen full grown naso's at lfs and i was like man why you have them in a 180g tank and he said thats a 300 gallon tank... They get to a foot n half and very thick....
