Fish for a 65

Having the same discussion with myself for my 75. I'm thinking about wrasses as well but I don't really want to cover my tank. Tagging along.

If you get the clear netting from BRS and normal screen frames it is really easy, cheap, and looks nice. Took me like 20 mins to make mine.

For the wrasse combos... there are so many to choose from.

In your size tank I would stick with halichoeres species for larger wrasses, as the others are usually bigger and more aggressive. There are many combinations of flasher and fairy wrasses that could work well.

It's recommended to use an acclimation box when mixing wrasses to ease any initial aggression.

I had a flame angel in my 65 that i removed last week due to him munching on my lps. (byfar the toughest fish I have ever had to catch) I have a cherub Angel that Ive had almost 2 years now but they stay fairly small. I also have 3 wrasses a longfin fairy, juvenile exquisite and a small yellow coris. They barely even notice each other.

In my 65 I have a pair of true percs, a red scooter blenny, a midas blenny(awesome fish), a mystery wrasse and a golden dwarf moray eel. There's a lot of activity and color and it seems pretty balanced.

I would choose two peaceful wrasse species and add small ones of both at the same time. I'd go yellow coris and a flasher or leopard. Good luck.
