Fish help

I have a perc. Clown that has white stringy poop. Any ideas as to what could be causing this and how to treat? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine has had issues like that before from eating fine sand/ food off of the sand bed

Are you feeding mysis?
Seems to be a common issue with that.

Bare bottom tank, feed mostly pellets. I have been feeding mysis recently but, only because I have been giving them metronidazole with focus for the issue. They seem fine other than that???

Try stopping it (the mysis).
I've read on the main forum somewhere where that can be a cause.
I feed NLS pellets and an occasional cube of mysis but I've had it happen to my own pair (for some reason mostly the female).
Seems like once it's out of her system it stops and goes back to normal looking fish poo.

MY Naso Tang gets long pieces of Chaeto he partially digests. Runs around in the tank with his ,,, sorry,,,,, "anal streamers" for hours. I feed Calurpa and Chaeto to my Tangs often (in addition to other foods). I doubt that is the issue with your clowns though lol
