i bought a fish today and i need the proper spelling of his name,i believe it to be anthiest,hes yellow and pink with a hint of purple on his belly,

be sure to feed him a lot!
Anthias need to be fed several times a day.
i had one, but i think it starved when the fish only got fed once a day when i went out of town.

i just read that also that you do have to feed him alot of food,what a hog

Anthias are not well equiped to store fat for future use. They burn the ingested food right away and have very high metabolism. As a result they need to be fed constantly and with meaty foods like frozen brine or mysis. Many anthias, with the possible exception of lyrtail anthias, will slowly starve to death in a home aquarium. Feed him often and hopefully he will beat the odds.

i kept mine alive for sometime.
and he/she was cool.
they got dropped to a once a day feeding schedule and i think it died in less then 3 days.
