Thanks..... yes the photos of a princess damselfish fit.... but im confused on how a fish that is indo pacific has made its way into the surf jetties of south texas.... i can say that it is not just an aquarium release cause they were scattered all throughout the rocks

Wow, that damsel looks awesome! Is that just juvenile coloration? Would like to here more about this guy.

Stegastes adustus - Dusky Damselfish (Juvenile)

Unlike the "Princess" this one is found in the Gulf..

+1 for S. adustus. Pretty fish as a juvi, its just a shame they get so dark as they mature (not to mention meaner than hell!). Im jealous of all yall that live in places where you can catch your own fish though- best I could hope for around here is a fathead minnow..

Hormigaquatica,

Couldn't agree more. Michigan has the same amount of Ocean Life as Ohio "Nothing". I have had some cool MI native species tanks in the past, but it just doesn't compare with the biodiversity and beauty that the ocean provides.

Maybe when I retire I'll move to Florida like everyone in the midwest does and then I'll be able to collect some of my own ocean life.
