Can you give me some information about the pair of Bellus angelfish that you have on Divers Den? I can't find anything on your website, or any other website.

Thanks

Eddie

etrigo29,

Thank you for contacting us regarding the beautiful Bellus Angelfish pair. They are also called the Ornate Angelfish. The female of the pair is 3-3/4” and the male is 5”. These fish require at least a 75-gallon aquarium with the temperature between 73 to 81 degrees. We have housed this pair here for 3-1/2 weeks. The diet should consist of Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp. They can grow up to 7”.

We hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions regarding this beautiful pair of Angelfish please contact us at 1-800-334-3699.

Thanks for the info. I'm mmoving stuff from my 58 over to the 120 tomorrow, so hopefully they are still there in a week or two.

Tha pair are gone but you still have some of the females left. I was wondering what is the temperament of these fish? I'm thinking of putting them in a tank with two tangs (purple and whitecheek), 2 clown fish (tomatos) and a foxface, the tank size is a 120. Also, I was thinking of getting a whitecheek from you, but they no longer seem available. Was there an issue with the fish or at the moment you are not carrying them anymore? If you are getting some more, is it possible for an ETA?

Sorry for being difficult and full of questions

Thanks

etrigo29,

The Bellus Angelfish is a rather peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish including triggerfish, large angelfish, and most surgeonfish. You are able to place this Angelfish with the Foxface though we would recommend using caution when placing this fish into an aquarium housing Clownfish and more aggressive Tangs, as they may harass the Bellus Angelfish causing stress. This Swallowtail Angelfish will make a good reef dweller, and will not nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates), as most angelfish will.

Our White Cheek Tang can be found in Collector’s Corner here: Whitecheek Tang

You are able to sign up for the “Email Me” option by clicking on the envelope next to the specimen. Once the White Cheek Tang is available an email will be sent to you, as these extraordinary fish are not always available.

If you have further questions please feel free to contact us.

Just wanted to thank you guys again for the great support. Just spoke to a guy named Tim. I asked him a question and instead of trying to make something up he admitted he couldn't find anything, and went to ask his supervisor and he came back with an answer. Although not a clear answer, it was very acceptable because of the rareness of the Tonga Anthias that I was looking at. I'll be ordering a few things as soon as my neighbor decides what he wants too.

etrigo29,

We appreciate your interest in the beautiful Anthias pair! We always encourage our customers to call with any questions they may have and we are happy to hear you were pleased with the answers. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
