Hey guys im starting a new 110g tank, and wondering if this list of fish would work!
2 Ocellaris Clown fish
2 blue/ green chromis
1 fire fish goby
1 yellow clown gobby
1 orchid dotty back
1 six line wrasse
1 snow flake eel
1 yellow tang

Congrats on starting a new tank! Sounds like you might have the same tank as me. If it were me, I would probably skip the six line and the dottyback as they can be buttheads. I haven't personally owned a snowflake eel, but keeping one in a tank with small fish may be dicey. Some of them might end up as lunch. Anyway, just my $.02. Cheers.

When the eel grows the clowns will be bite size. Just about everything except the yellow tang will be expensive meals for the eel. Snowflakes can eat full grown maroon clowns(been there, done that.) If you take out the eel the tank looks nice. On the smallish side for the yellow tang, but if he is the only big guy in there you should get away with it. The chromis might pick each other off but in that size tank and low stocking, they may be just fine.

Depending on the size of the snowflake eel, I would think it will work until it gets bigger

Yes I have, I knew the eel may not work, but I've seen some people have them with smaller community fish, and thought I'd ask your opinions

I would ditch the eel and six-line as well. As for the orchid dottyback (P. fridmani) they are probably the most mellow of dottybacks and I have always had good luck with them in systems down to 65 gal so I vote yes here. If you're still uneasy about the orchid and want something purple you could go with a black cap basslet instead.

If you do have concerns on the yellow tang you could always substitute with any of the bristletooth tangs, they're typically a bit smaller and not quite as active.

I've had a lot of experience with a snowflake in a 120. Let the clowns grow a little then when you introduce the snowflake make sure to keep him fed. Get a small snowflake, but they do grow fast. Make sure to have a lot of places they can hide. Best to feed with a feeding stick to make sure the eel gets enough. They should be fine.
