Fish list for 66 gallon (32x24x20)

We are planning our fish selection, and are looking for advice, sequence, or any input. Our tank will be arriving in a week. We will be taking things very slow. We'll start with about 50 lbs dry live rock and 80 lbs live sand. Our tank will be a mixed reef with LPS, and SPS, maybe a softie or two. I should also mention we are not trying to put all these fish into the tank, just trying to narrow things down. We also aren't trying to put any of the same family of species into the tank either. Here goes:

Black Cap Basslet
Midas Blenny-maybe to peaceful for the others, like the way hides in the rock
Canary Blenny- love the color, and movement
Potters Dwarf Angel- can be risky with corals, but so beautiful
Six Line Wrasses-can be a bully
Semi Picasso Percula Clownfish
Maroon Clownfish
Any gobies that could hang with this crowd?
 
I would skip the canary and six line. Angel is hit or missed as mentioned, I have a coral beauty and it does not. Perhaps one day. Hawk would be cool. Lots of possibility with a wrasse. A diamond goby would probably work. I wouldnt have 2 different clowns.
 
Why no six line wrasses, or canary, just wondering what the draw backs are? Are they not appropriate in this grouping, or just bothersome in general. Thanks!

I know many folks that include a six line in every tank. (I'm one of them). Never had a problem.
 
Dealer, thank you for the input. I am really hoping to place six line into our tank. That being said I wouldn't do anything completely stupid just because I want to.
 
Six-line Wrasse tend to be very aggressive to other Wrasses and can be a bully to non-Wrasses as well. It will probably work out in your tank if you add the Six-line last and don't plan on keeping any other Wrasses.

Any of the Shrimp or Cleaner Gobies should work well with the rest of your list. I wouldn't do both the Canary and Midas Blenny--pick one and choose another species for different colors. The Tail-spot and Pictus Blennies both look nice and are outgoing.
 
My midas doesn't hide much, I love him! Although he does chase my firefish. I have a pinkbar goby and some of the tiny gobys who all get along.
 
For gobies, most of the shrimp-gobies should get along just fine with your crew - aurora, watchman, blackray, yasha ... and any of the cleaner gobies, as mentioned above - yellowline, neon, sharknose . . . possibly a clown goby, though they can be nippers on SPS.

Gobies are mostly small, there are _tons_ of different ones, and they can fill in the corners in a tank in the most delightful way!

Sixline wrasses have a reputation for aggression. I've got one (inherited from another reefer who was breaking down her tank) who has allowed me to add other wrasses to his tank, but not everyone has been so lucky. Sounds like Dealseer was as well, but I've talked to a LFS owner who's got a tank with two clowns and a sixline - he can't add another fish. They're beautiful fish, for sure, but be a ware of the risk!

Maroon clowns can be rugged - I certainly wouldn't try to keep one in a tank with a percula / ocellaris!

I have a tank with those exact dimensions with a six line in it and he/she is a model citizen.

Also just FYI 80 lbs of rock is tons, I have about 35 in mine and could have done with 30.
 
This is our revised list, thank you for all the responses, it is appreciated. My question, which order would you introduce these guys. I have never had a semi or aggressive tank, so not sure who needs its territory first. Also is this an appropriate fish load. Thanks!

Out of your list, the Blennies really are the most docile. But if you plan on adding Gobies, they're usually even more docile.

Also, instead of a Purple Dottyback, how about an Orchid? Orchids tend to be regarded as the most peaceful Dottyback.

By the way our first fish was an Orchid Dottyback. He/she is very cool. Thanks for the suggestion! :thumbsup:
