The fungus is among us.
Howdy gang. I'm putting together a fish list for a someone with a standard 4X2X2 tank. They'll have a mesh top for it. It's currently open. Tank will receive standard maintenance and will be a mixed reef of softies, leathers, gorgonians and maybe a plating Monte. Oh, and an RBTA. They would like to have an autofeeder operating and are planning on filling that with a couple good pellet foods and twice daily dispensing of said pellets. They will likely feed some frozen mysis or similar on occassion. Let's say every couple of days. And they'll feed nori daily for the Tomini.
What do y'all think of this fish list added in this order?
Azure Damsel (X2)
Ocellaris Clown (X2)
Cleaner Goby
Yellow Clown Goby
Yellow Watchman Goby
Royal Gramma
Matted Filefish
Yellow Coris Wrasse
Bullet Goby
Escenius sp. Blenny
Toby Puffer
Flame Angel
Tomini Tang
I would add the damsels and clowns first as they're more bullet proof in my experience. Note: The damsels will not be used to cycle the tank. I recognize the damsels could be challenging. But azure's seem to be known for a relatively tolerant member of the family. And I happen to have a pair in QT right now which is part of why they'd be added first. But, also, they are quite hardy and attractive and would get things off to a zippy start. My feeling is the tank is large enough that they will not be able to attempt to dominate and also that their attention will be spent more on each other as conspecifics.
To me, the clowns (captive bred Ocellaris) are a relative non-issue in that size tank. Hopefully they'll take to the anemone after it's introduced later.
Then everything else is more or less sort of standard relative to my understanding of aggression. Puffer, angel, and tang will all be added small.
I'm a little concerned about the Royal Gramma and the Damsels. Anyone have experience with that combo? In what size tank and in what order were they added? Thanks!
I'd appreciate hearing any and all feedback.
Couple thoughts. Adding a single lyretail anthias? Concerned about it eating enough with the pellets. The pellets will be fed heavily.
Also curious if anyone thinks more fish could be added and, if so, which ones would you suggest and, hopefully, why.
Thanks!!!:wave::beer::rollface::fun4:
