Hey guys

I have a 75 gallon reef tank.I currently have a firefish and a kole tang!!!

Its been setup for about two months. everything is working great and my kole tang and firefish are best buddies!!! (swimming together and everything)
I have DIY LED lights up and running too.

So my question is are these fish compatible with each other and will they be alright with any type of coral and inverts?

alredy have

red fire fish
kole tang

Want

Starry blenny
3 blue reef chromis
pair of ocellaris clowns
orchid dotty back
orange stripe prawn goby w/ pistil shrimp
six line wrasse
duskey wrasse
:bounce2:
:fish1:

6 lines can become quite aggressive as they mature. Orchids are one of the more peaceful dottybacks, but individuals vary in temperment.

Dusky wrasses get to be around 6-7 inches long which, IMO is kinda big for 75g tank with a lot of other fish. Likewise the blue reef chormis can reach about 5 inches in length and aren't guarnateed to shoal (if that's why you want 3).

The goby/shrimp pair, clownfish and blennie should all be fine, thought the starry blennies can get aggressive if they feel crowded. Mine kept attacking a baby blue tang in QT.

IMO, I would skip the six-line and either do one chromis or no chromis. I tried a group of chromis and ended up with one when all was said and done.

I have had the best luck keeping fish when there was ~10 gallon per small/medium sized fish which would mean in your tank I would not keep more than 7 fish, preferably 6 due to the size of the Kole tang. This is not a rule, just what I have run into over my time in this hobby.

If I was stocking you tanks, this is what I would do (with notes):
- red fire fish
- kole tang
- Starry blenny (love these guys!)
- pair of ocellaris clowns OR duskey wrasse (personally I would go with the wrasse)
- orchid dotty back (might work, but you should have a plan if it does not. It may harass/intimidate your firefish)
- orange stripe prawn goby w/ pistil shrimp

Just a FYI if the orchid dotty back does intimidate your firefish, then you will need to get one or the other out ASAP. When intimidated, the firefish will go in the rock work and hide most if not all the time and may very well stop eating. Which will lead to its death if the source of intimidation is not seperated from the firefish. That is simply what I was told when picking fish out for my 125.
