Fish Movers??

Is there a company or somebody that runs a service that can help me in moving my fishtank to our new home I am having to relocate for work? My husband, a group of friends, and I moved this tank once before. He is away on a job project and we are not sure he will be able to assist in moving this time if he does it will help me greatly.


Please any information you may know about will help

I'm close to where you live now and can certainly help you pack-up, catch things, etc. I have LOTS of 5 gallon buckets! LOL

wow nice to see people jumping in to help. if its a sunday and i have time off from work i can help. also scott at ebay fish he cleans and lately i know his been helping breaking down peoples tank. maybe he can move it for you if no one can help at the time you need it done. some likely a small fee. hope i helped. and good luck with the move.

Yea... I have 20-30 5g jugs, a box truck, a cargo van... Sounds like you won't have much trouble finding help... Just need to post specifics... Locations... Dates... Etc... It'll probably only cost ya a couple sodas

Well Chris and I are hoping to move it if he has off sunday.........If not and we can put together a crew for two weeks after that then I can do that!!!! (I don't mind paying a small fee I've been given an allowance to work with I know it's a beeeeeeotch of a task!) The move is from the boonies(smithville, tn to The styx-Centerville/Pleasantville, TN)......

I know the reef club meeting is sunday we were hoping to start this early and get it all done and still make the meeting!!

i know when i moved my 75gal tank, 10 miles down the road, it took a friend and myself almost all day, about 10 hours...we did stop for lunch, but not for long

I agree w/ Jay. Moving our 90G from Nashville to Murfreesboro 8 years ago took nearly 12 hours... of course, it was just the two of us - but still. I think it took almost two hours just to fill the tank back up w/ water with a hose (we had freshwater fish back then) and get it heated up before we could put the fish in.

I wouldn't be able to hep move and go to meeting all in one day! It would have to be one or the other.

I think we are gonna shoot for the second sunday/Saturday after the reef club meeting(I wanna come too!) I got a price from Scott at eBay or if we can use the box truck/cargo van and put a small crew together I don't mind to help(and feed everybody).....let me know if this is possible I have a power pump I remove/replace the water with so breakdown isn't too bad.....

Which one ya want... I've got a 12' cargo van.. And a 14' box truck... No prob for either one... I have a TERRIBLE memory... So don't feel bad If you have to keep reminding me... I don't know what size your tank ... But even a 75 would prob be much easier In the box truck... To get stand and water and all in one trip lmk I think 4 people would make it more fun then work... I'll commit to helping now... 3 or more to commit... Well make it a social thing... :-D... OH CRAP! a 135??? Well need about 6 people to keep it fun... Good grief... I shoulda read before I opened my trap! ;-D ok... So 5 MORE... chime in... AND DON'T BAIL IF YOU COMMIT! ;-*

as i said i cant help with the breakdown but if its gonna be in november and nothing comes up i can help with the rebuild.....hope ya guys get the right crew to break it down

I will commit to helping with the tear-down part. Perhaps Mario can take my place on the rebuild team? I work on Sundays - so Sat is better for me, but can rearange schedule to do it on Sunday as well (just need some notice if its Sun).

Just tell me what day and what time and if you need me to bring anything (buckets/5 gallon jugs/etc).

like i said im on board as long as its in november and we dont have anything that pops up cause i dont mind reebuilding it and i still owe Jen for the free phosban reactor yes i havent forgotten about that
