Fish never cease to amaze me.

I have had a Tinker's Butterfly for about a month now. I absolutely love him. He's not delicate like most butterflys and if anything has a bit of an attitude. So I was looking in my display with the lights out and i saw the Tinker's and he looks completely different. He looks really dark with two big white spots on the body. I conclude these are to appear as two big fish eyes. The pics were difficult to take and the fish looks much lighter than he does in person from the flash. When you see it in person it looks like to big white circles swimming around. Here is a a picof him during the day the other at night. Tim

Classic "sleep" colors for a butterfly. Back when I had a FO tank, my butterflies all took on similar patterns.

Stunning fish, BTW!

my Declivis (poor man's tinkers) does the same thing

btw.......i keep him in my reef!........took care of all aiptasia and has left everything else alone ( i don't recommend this.....just love my fish more than my corals:)
