Fish nipping at coral

does anyone have any advice for fish nipping at coral. I have a great Koran which seems to be nipping at a new leather coral I bought. Any thoughts of how to prevent this?

This is a with caution reef fish. And you now know the reason. He is more like a FO tank. You need to ask your self if you want a reef tank ,reef meaning coral or a FO tank. No stopping him but MB his diet isnt up to par and his hunger comes first.

There's not a lot you can do other than avoiding adding fish that have a reputation for nipping at corals. Angels are notorious for it. Best bet is to either remove the fish or remove the coral.

If it's a Koran angelfish there's no much you can do except remove it. Angelfish are known to nip corals and are generally not considered reef safe.

I've got a Coral Beauty that likes to nip at everything. Sometimes I just think he's doing it to be mean.

If you like angels, get one in the genicanthus family. They are as reef safe as any fish given this label.

A Koran is one of the less likely angels to be well mannered in a reef...

it may be a long shot but try feeding a multi diet a couple times a day

It's in their nature to hunt and nip at food all day long. So providing food over the day sometimes helps prevent them from nipping but I don't know if it will stop them.
