Fish not eating any suggestions

Today I made a trip to the local fish store they had a blue hippo tang that was not doing so well he was just lying on his side and they said he would not eat. Anyways they gave him to me for ten bucks gues they figured he was going to die. I brought him home to try and save him and he has been swimming around all day except he will not eat and I can see his ribcage. Any suggestions??

Great job in getting him to swim. Try soaking the food in garlic guard, the garlic has a strong smell and might attact the fish to the food.

yeah try it to see what he does have you also tried to put some nori sheets in there or anything. They like to graze. let us know how he does.

try soaking live brine in the garlic. not the most nutritious food, but if he should take it.

He might be doomed if they are not eating and skinny, most likely internal parasites, give a shot as most have suggested, I bought a Naso and it perish of starvation also. Good Luck.

Day 2 and he has started to lay on his side again only getting up to swim ocasionally. I soaked some nori and some brine in garlic and he has eaten alittle although I had to hand feed him he did nibble on the nori a bit. we'll see what happens hope he can pull through.
