I made the mistake of putting 2 of them in my reef tank.
I need something that will eat them FAST and not eat my other fish..

2 small percula's
1 yellow tang
1 six line wrasse
1 yellow wrasse
all fish are small except the yellow tang

thanks for your help!!

You'll be better off making a trap and getting them out that way. Anything that will eat them, might also eat the small perc's and wrasses.

My tap has cought the cleaner shrimp, purple lobster, etc... but not the camel shrimp.

They are too shy to go near it.

I don't think a larger wrase would eat the fish....

thanks for your help...

Actually, come to think of it, a hawkfish might be a good bet. They do a number on shrimp, but shouldn't be a problem for the fish.

snowflake eels which have dull teeth for eating inverts would probably eat them without eating your fish. They would also probably eat your CuC though. hawkfish or dottybacks also go after shrimp, dottybacks are brutal though and I would not trust one with clowns and other peaceful fish.

Snowflakes, while primarily crustacean eaters, aren't guaranteed fish safe. Especially with small fish.

Maybe your sixline might kill them, My sixline will kill every pep shrimp I try to put in, he has ten kills at least!:)

Yeah I should have mentioned that, I was more of listing things that would just kill shrimp.

thanks all. I'm wondering if I don't feed the two wrasses for a few days if they will do the job.

I might buy a 7 inch male bird wrasse or a 5 inch cuban hog fish- what do you guys think?

thanks

Maybe you could try putting out your trap for them at night. I don't know anything about your other crustaceans but I know that my camel shrimp is only active at night for the most part so maybe you could get him then.

The bird wrasse will quite large (about a foot) and quite often will eat small fish.

The Cuban Hog can get to about 12", but is generally fairly mellow and should be alright with your fish if you start with a small one.

Is the tank only that 90? Why don't just blast them with FW? If you don't kill them it should be enough to stun them.

Hail to the Vampire Pseudochromis! After 2 hours (almost exactly) of releasing him- one camel shrimp is gone!! :) 1 more to go!

Aquaking- that sound like a good idea- how would I have done that?

thanks

Use a turkey baster. Should be small enough to fit around the rocks. Just fill it up with FW, then hunt him down, when he's spotted bring the baster over and give a blast. Other fish will be fine, but watch out for corals.

A good size mystery wrasse or flame hawk. Both are beautiful and are known to go after ornamental shrimps.
