my mandrian was getting picked on by another fish and i got that fish out but my question is his dorsal fin (top one) is picked down to the bone will he be ok, will the flesh grow back or will it just be a bone from now on?

I've seem fins grow back pretty well on many fish back when I worked at a LFS..
In my own stuff, something was wrong with my maroon and yellow clown a few months back, one of his fins was down to about 1/3 its usual size and it grew back perfectly.
I dont know how well a mandarin can recover though... I've never kept one.
