What fish are you considering?
well, I would not push more than 1inch per per gallon, so be sure to choose fish that do not grow to be big, I say try to stay with fish that do not get bigger than 4 to 5 inch maximum, preferrably smaller if you want a variety of fish.
obviously, if you are religious about water change (weekly) of 10% or more and your filtration is top notch, you can push this limit a bit further.
Definitely think first about what type of fish you want. I suggest you stay with peaceful fish.
I recommend both Bob Fenners and Scott Michael's books for reference.

I would suggest that you add the most agressive fish last and in this case it would be the clown.
Although, I did backwords and it worked out but this advice was passed on to me through many here on Reef Central.
Also, check on the goby as I think they are jumpers!

That inches per gallon rule just doesn't work very well for marine tanks. It really depends on the fish. I agree that the angel, clown and neon goby should be just fine as long as you're not planning to add those in addition to what you already have. Also, give a lot of thought to the type of clown you pick. The more aggressive species (Maroons, Clarkiis, Tomatos, etc.) will pretty much consider the whole tank their territory, and may end up harrassing your other fish. Perculas, Ocellaris and Skunk clownfish would probably be good choices, though.
Everyone's going to have different opinions as to how much is too much, though. In my 46g, I considered 1 Maroon Clownfish, 1 Smith's Blenny and a Mystery Wrasse to be plenty.

true that. its a 29 gallon tank so you can add a 29" fish right? :lol: not exactly..... not even 4 7" fish or 7 4" fish..
you probably could add 29 1" fish and be fine though, bio-load wise. territories would be rediculous!
None of those "rules" are really worth anything. watts per gallon, gallons per hour, etc.. all pretty much nonsense.
