fish room dimensions

Having looked at all of these awesome set ups I was curious as to how big is everyones fish room?

Are you crammed in there? or is it just right?
pictures are always nice too

I am in the process of finishing my basement and putting a fishroom together. I ended up making it 10 ft X 3 ft and then the 8 ft X 3 ft that is the space under the stairwell. This will be to house a couple of Brute containers and a 29g hospital tank. It is not really big enough to put a 55g or bigger quarentine tank in there. I also installed a utility sink in there.... no new pictures yet.... but I think I will be very happy with the allocation of space. Bigger is always better, but I didn't want to chop space out of the living area. I can try to get pictures here in the next few days maybe!

Its always crammed, the more space you have more must have things seem to come up.

My new one is 18 x 7 but I could easily double it and fill it or 1/2 it and be fine to.

Two schools of thought: A) Make it twice as big as you need, just in case B) Make it just big enough to fit what you need, that way you're not tempted to try upgrades

Mine is 20 x 24. It holds my 2 250 gallon tanks as well as my frag tanks

We originally started with a plan of 16'x8'
it turned into 18'x8' and we thought it was going to be big enough!
We wish it could have been 10' wide, but our building restriction codes would not let us.

Mine is about 10' x 10' but one wall has my water storage and sink on the other side. So in total, I am using 10' x 10' plus about another 4' x 10'.

I have access to an outside wall so I can vent the room easily. I have a door in the center of one of the 10' walls so I can use the three other walls fully; thirty feet of wall is 20-24' of access after equipment is installed and that's nice. I can reach across the space even if I have a hand in one tank.

All that said, I would still like a bit more space but since I don't have it, I am finding more and more ways to use the vertical wall space to better effect.

i making my basement sump room 5'x7'. its bigger than my last sump room but it still isnt big enough but i need room for all my tools.

i agree to make it as big as possible. seems like there is never enough room.

mine is 12 'by 10 ' it has an Lshaped 12"by 6"fish only system that has 12 twenty gallon tanks that are plumbed into basement. then the adjacent wall is two 55gal tanks side by side extending down the wall . enough room in the middle for my swiveling recliner chair , perfect !
