Fish stalking list for 450 litre tank

I have a juwel rio 450 its 151x51x66 cm (length x width x height), approx. 450 litres content. That's 5 foot long and around 120g for the Americans.

It doesn't have a sump but I plan to add a protein skimmer and live rock using the Berlin method. Decent power heads and dosing pump. The tank may start off as a fowlr but I want to eventually add some sofites and critters to give it more of a reef look. So fish need to be reef safe.

I want the tank to have that busy teeming with life reef look to it so thinking of lots of smaller fish and maybe one or two larger centre piece fish.

What would be a good list for a tank of this size? I know its not massive but its a fairly large tank in most peoples book.

I was thinking that a Regal tang would be around the biggest i should go for?

Regal Tang,
yellow Tang,
Dwarf angel
fox face
pair of clowns
assortment of other smaller fish like green Chromis, damsels etc Anything between dwarf angels and tangs that are reef safe?

Open to ideas

I'm interested too. I would like a handful of smaller fish, whether they school or not

Its not nice to "stalk" your fish..
Lucky for you though they are just fish and can't call the Police or get restraining orders against you..
So stalk away...:p

Haha I cant edit the title now :headwally::spin3:

Smaller wrasses are nice/colorful/fun to watch some get big some only 3” or so. Just make sure you get reef safe or safe with caution if your willing to take the risk. The dwarf angel may be great and may also eat corals. My dwarf angel has been a model citizen but she benefits from my 2-3 feedings a day + grazing. Anthias are also a good option for a school/shoaling fish. I have a trio of Carberryi Anthias in my tank that swim together and get “courted” by my male flasher wrasse. Tip if you go with Anthias though they need to eat atleast twice a day so they’re heavy on the bioload. Worth it to me not to others. Best of luck on the stocking!

It's more the bigger fish I'm asking about. Most people claim that tank is not even big enough for a tang. What about copper bands and other medium sized fish?
