The nearest things to San Rafael would be Ceasars in Santa Rosa and Northbay Aquatics in Cotati. Really the North Bay stores dont really compare to many of the others in the bay area in terms of selection. Ceasars SW section is kept pretty well. Nothbay has tons of flatworms and algae.

The best thing going in Marin is Pet Club in Corte Madera.
The Fish Department Manager knows what he is doing and takes care of the livestock pretty well. They have a pretty wide selection of fish.
There are a limited number of inverts as well.
The prices are very reasonable; especially on the Dry Goods.
The stores farther North have more selection and their prices are much higher.
