Fish stuck to Mp40wes

I bought a ecotech MP40WES a few months back. I've had two fishes get stuck to it and die. One was a copperband butterfly and the other was a scopas tang. Has anyone else had this happen? My clowns, and wrasse are fine with it and have not had an issue. Any ideas on a cover or a better setting. I believe I am using reefcrest.

I've had it happen recently to a chromis but that was the first fish for it to happen to in 4 years.

To me if the fish get stuck to out its already on its way out. Most healthy fish would not be stuck to it I the first place.

I have never had a fish stuck to one that wasn't already doing poorly and too weak to swim away. Do you have yours running full out? or dialed down?

i know they are not the most eye appearling however have you tried the foam covers?

i had a few chromis die from my mp10 and after covering it no issues since :bounce3:

i seen mods with the gutter mesh and a zip tie. I personally think its the MP40's fault, its not safe and you must give it to me.

I've only had my Linkcia starfish go into it, so no more starfish

I can totally understand the slow moving (sick) fish description. Both of the fish that died were recent purchases the first died about a week after being introduced and the second died 2 days after. both appeared healthy and seemed to be eating fine. I might try turning it down a bit and see how that works.

I actually put two brand new baby yellow coris in my tank, I released them and one was sorta disoriented and swam to close to the side and got stuck to the outside. I had to turn my MP40 off to release him. he was ok until he jumped out of the tank the next day (I have screens).

these guys were so small my bluethroat thought they were food at first.

CBB likely starved itself to death and pump was its end.

Scopas, if added straight from store, likely diseased/weak.
