I am starting a new 75 gallon tank I was wanting some advice on what fish to keep. this is my first saltwater tank. I plan to keep some coral. mainly some zoos and some soft corals. my tank is cycling now and really it has gone very good I bought fully cured live rock from another refers tank. I never had and ammonia. I have zero nitrite and nitrates now this weekend I plan on adding two or three blue green chromis.

I was wondering what fish people have had good luck with and what to stay away from . later I plan to get a clown fish or pair and an anemone. other than that the door is wide open.

here is a pic of my tank now

a couple of your smaller tangs or a rabbitfish would work, Kole, Scopas, Yellow, Red Sea Purple, add one or two last.

Some sand dwellers, watchman, sand sifting gobies.

What are some other fish you might be considering? When you start looking at mid-water rock dwellers you have to consider your pod counts for natural food. Mandarin, Wrasse, Hawk?

A good idea is to setup a plan because certain fish should be added together or first/last for better success. Hope that helps.

lyertail anthias are probably my favorite fish that i have in my 75 gallon now.

i have 1 mae and 4 females

i would stay away from chromies...
i started with 6. down to 4 and #4 isn't schooling with the rest of em.
thats what happened to #5
grr!

chromis and anthias school together.

they are more likely to live also.... because they are in a school with other fish.
