Fish tank stand question

I had a custom built stand made for my 90 gallon i will be setting up (have posted a few pix recently). The stand is very level all the way around, there are 1 or 2 places where the tank has a small gap (could fit maybe 8 or 9 sheets of paper) inbetween the tank and the stand. Is this gonna be a problem? Will it settle in after the tanks filled or is there something i need to do to fix it? Ive read of putting a thin sheet of styrofoam inbetween stand and the tank no matter what as a precaution to releave any minute irregularities in the wood. Thanks in advance

what kind of tank do you have? is it a normal glass tank with a plastic frame? if so your probably OK.

Our 125 had a few places around the perimeter where it met the stand that had some gaps. You're fine. The wood will mold to your needs.

I have used the foam gasket for putting under sill plates with great success. A roll is only a couple bucks and it will last a lifetime.
