fish that you've kept with Haddoni

The title says it all. What fish have you kept with your haddoni and not had them eaten. Besides clowns of course:)

African flameback and foxface so far. I just have 4 fishes in my tank and the other 2 in there is my pair of clowns.

A maroon clown, niger trigger, clown trigger, blue green chromis. Part of the problem is if you have a clown or pair hosting it. There were many times when I tried to introduce a new fish and if the clown didn't approve it would wind up chased into and killed by the haddoni.

I have a haddoni in a 74 tall (24x24x30) and it has never gotten a fish. It's only about 14 inches right now but I keep a pair of Firefish Gobies, Flame Angel, Cardinals, 2 Possum Wrasses, Mandarine Goby, Cleaner and Fire Shrimp, a trio of clowns that refuse to host in anything.....I've had it about 2 years+ and have had other fish and never one issue (knock on wood...).

I've lost several. No rym or reason other than the two clarki's that host in it. I've lost yellow tangs, fire fish, and maybe two clowns. I have no proof that it was him but that all looked healthy and one day they aren't there anymore.

My PBT, McCosker Wrasse, Clown and Male Anthias all fine. 5-6 months.

My not so bright Foxface slept next to the Haddoni. It didn't end well.

how big was the foxface? are Haddon's capable of eating a full grown foxface? that's a huge fish

Good size, want to say 4-5 inches. I found his carcass stripped of the skin floating morning of my birthday. Let me go find a pic.

holy crap.... I'm getting a red haddoni this Sunday.. my current designed spot for him is near my foxface's sleeping cave

Near isn't bad.

My genius of a fish slept right next to him. Couple inches at best, picked it a couple days before vanishing. I would leave some low level light on at night also. More likely to dive into it when completely dark.

My sig show the list of fishes that did not get eatten in my tank with 3 Haddoni, 3 Gigantea and a Magnifica. There are a few Maxi Mini and a lot of Mini Mini also.

man.. after this thread, I'm having second thoughts. my LFS has a red Haddoni and 2 neon green coming this sunday, and I have first pick option.

I have a fairly peaceful small fish tank and lots of coral frags.. decisions decisions..

It's not common for a fish to be eaten, but expect it happen. The other four have been in there w/o issue.

Thanks guys. It looks like it's kind of luck of the draw. You should have seen it when mine ate my tuxedo urchin and a big turbo snail. I guess I just need to get more aware fish. I also have 6 haddoni ,so they need to be fish that stay in the water column
