Fish Trap

Anyone have a fish trap for sale or one I could use? I have a pesky flame hawk that eats every shrimp I put in the tank and I would like him to find a new home but they are tough/smart buggers and difficult to catch.

Any ideas or help with the trap would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a similar problem and serpant man suggested that he has caught more fish with a pop bottle than anything else. Basically you cut the top off a bottle and turn top inside out and sew it back on with fishing line. You cut a hole slightly larger in than the fish you intend to catch. Place it in the tank and bait with food. The fish swims in, gets confused and can't find its way out. It may take a few days to catch him but sooner or later it will work

I have 2 of them but one is on loan to an East-Sider. The one I have here has an acrylic door and it doesn't drop like you would want it to. The other one has glass and it comes down faster but is much larger.

I have had lots of luck in the past with the pop bottle DIY traps but you don't get to choose which one you grab. They just enter and cannot find the way out so it is usually the boldest fish that gets caught because he is first to enter.

If you haven't seen them HERE is how to make a DIY trap.

Let me know if you need either of my traps but I would try DIY'ing it first.
