Fish Twitching

My sixline wrasse sometimes goes into twitching fits. what's that all about?

mine did that twitch also, it was ick in the early stages... dose your fish now before it is full blown

He isn't twitching against rocks like I've seen some fish do before. He is twitching with his nose on the glass. Was yours exhibiting this same behavior?

I thought 6 line wrasses are disease resistank and couldn't get ich?

hmm well I bought a six line and it laid a web and laid in it under a rock for a day,then moved and he was never seen again for a few days. I had a bad feeling about him not showing up at all, so I moved some rocks and found him laying in two white chunks covered in slime.

Sounds to me like he is seeing his reflection and reacting to it in a territorial manner, similar to the flashing exhibited by flasher wrasses...its not uncommon for these fish at all.

I second this and have seen the same behavior for years... he'll be fine and this is normal for these...
