In Memoriam
The other day i got up went down and checked on my tank everything was there including my kole tang. I went to school came back and realized my tang was gone. I looked and looked and went down about every hour or so and never saw it. The next day i woke up and went to see if it had come out yet, it surely did it came out of my carpet anemone.
Does this happen often, should i keep a better eye on this stuff or is it just a freak accident?
Thanks, Drew

pit bulls

I read aiko's message and he is right, i also adapted a pit bull from lake shore animal shelter in chicago and these animals couldnt be sweeter, smarter, more loving caring, or just flat out amazing in athletic abuilities. Please dont fall under the category of racism towards these dogs until you have actually met some and given them a chance. So next time you go to get a dog i encourage you to adapt one and also take a good look at pit bulls because they are verry intelegent and i just cant say enough good things about them in the post so if you want more info on where to adapt them or want to here some good stories and how great they are please ask me, or aiko, we will set you on the right paths.

Dog intelligence is all relative. I am not sure where they lie but I'd guess they're no dumber then a Lab or Golden Retriever.

I happen to like pit bulls but I prefer to call them by their better P.R. name American Staffordshire Terrier or simply Am Staff. I used to work with a lady that ran an Am Staff rescue up in Antioch and she'd scold you for using the slang Pit Bull. Unfortunately, I'll step on my soap box now, a lot of genuine article morons purchase and breed these potentially dangerous animals.

Calling them potentially dangerous is not meant as a derogatory term. ANY ANIMAL IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. That can be from my two little chihuahuas all the way up to a Saint Barn Yard.

How to make a dangerous animal:
Step one: With no knowledge whatsoever regarding the steps to raise a loving household companion aquire a canine of any breed.

Step two: Chain said canine in the yard and neglect it. Do not feed or water it any more then you would water a cactus.

Step three: Under no circumstance show the dog affection. Do not train it to follow simple commands. Do not give it several daily rub downs or praise it when it follows commands properly.

Now you have a dog that does not know anything about human love or companonship. It will possibly obey the person that brings it food but it is now a potential killer. Treat a laborador that way and you'll see that dog in the paper being shot after attacking some kid that made the mistake of chasing a toy into that dog's yard.

There should be a licensing exam for marriage, having a child, and getting a pet.

Never buy a puppy mill dog from a pet store. Pet stores like Jungle Land in Mundelein have giant signs proclaiming that they have puppies from private breeders. Ask to look at the record of any dog you might be interested in. If under the breeder information there is a USDA license number, guess what, it wasn't bred at what any of us would call a private breeder. Put up a cyclone fence with a sigfn that says keep out in front of a puppy mill and then you have a private breeder. Not open to the public equals private. I have proof regarding Jungleland Pets in Mundelein so this is not libelous.

Go to a shelter and pick out a loveable mutt or even a purebread abandoned dog. A huge benefit to the mutts is a reduction in genetic problems that pure breeds have from inbreeding.

I'll step off my soap box now.

Adam
