fishing licences... how long does it take to get one

Can I go to walmart or where ever and get one the same day, or is it only mail away?

You can go online (https://www3.wildlifelicense.com/fl/start.php) and order the license which will give you whats called a TAN - a temporary authorization number. That TAN gives you immediate license privileges. Just keep it with you while fishing until the real permit arrives.

I walked into sports authority yesterday. They do it at the front counter, I didn't even fill out paperwork. They just slide my drivers license, ask me a few questions (phone number, etc), slide my bank card, and done. I was there less than 10 minutes total. $14.
